What agency management software actually costs
Three vendors control most of the commercial-lines market and none of them will tell you what they charge. Here is what agencies report paying, and what we charge.
The number is not a secret. It is a negotiating position.
Search for what any agency management system costs and you will find a form. Applied, Vertafore and EZLynx all route the question to a salesperson, and the salesperson routes it back to a question about your agency's size, your book, your carriers and how soon you need to decide.
That is not an oversight. Price discovery is expensive for the buyer and profitable for the seller: two agencies of the same size on the same product routinely pay different amounts, and neither one can find out. The published price is the first thing an incumbent gives up, and it is the last thing they will give up voluntarily.
What agencies actually report paying
The figures that circulate in agency forums and owner groups cluster around three hundred dollars a month for EZLynx and two hundred for HawkSoft, before per-user charges, before the download fees, and before whatever the migration was quoted at. Applied Epic and AMS360 do not cluster anywhere, because those contracts are negotiated one at a time and covered by terms the buyer signs before seeing a number.
We publish ours, in full, on the pricing page, for the exact agency size the number applies to. Not a range, not a starting-at, and not a figure that changes when you say you are also talking to somebody else.
The terms matter more than the price
A cheap system you cannot leave is not cheap. The things that decide what a system really costs an agency are the contract length, whether a full export is free, whether the API costs extra, and what happens to your data. Every one of those is a term, and every one of ours is published next to the price.
If a vendor will not tell you what leaving costs, you have already learned the price of staying.
